Re the ship's Motto. I have my blazer badge from 1968 & the motto in the scroll reads "ARDUUS AD SOLEM". The same motto is printed on the badge on the front of the commissioning book 1967-68. Hope this helps to quell the disagreements.

Sorry to say Dave passed away on July 21st 2010 after a short illness lung cancer.
His funeral is on 20th August at Merlandrise Church Tadworth Surrey.

and saw Tim Evans who joined the same class as me at Raliegh february 19th 1963.
He was the person who taught me my first 3 cords on a guitar. I know play for relaxation and fun. God bless the crew
